Mini Summer Haul: Tobi Online

Online shopping is a curse. Sometimes I can stop myself, sometimes I can't. This was one of those times where I didn't give a flying fuck and purchased on a whim.

One of my favorite YouTube bloggers had a link to Tobi where she got a super cute romper, so I poked around the site a little bit. The clothes are amazing, with nice print, great cuts, and decent prices. When you first register to the site, you get 50% off your entire first purchase, so I immediately got hooked. There's also free shipping for orders over $50, which mine came to just about $51 altogether. I really liked a lot of their dresses, but I chose the Double Deedee dress in White & Blush. Original price is $58. Then I wanted a skirt, since I only have about 4 altogether, and they were either black or gray. I decided to get the Tidal Wave skirt in Light Blue. Original price is $44, but they bumped it down to $26 for final sale.

I couldn't find a romper that I liked, nor did I find the romper from the YouTube video, so I just spotted other cute summer digs! I may have also chosen these two particular outfits because the girl who models them is absolutely gorgeous, so I found her on Instagram, hehe.

Without any further ado, here are my looks!

Overall, I absolutely love the dress. It's really carefree and light, and the size I got isn't too tight around the waist. Usually whenever I buy a dress in XS, it's either too tall or too tight, but this one is basically perfect for my body type. I can breathe comfortably, and it's also above the knee, something hard to find when you're an adult but you're also 4'9". I love it because you can still peek my thigh tattoo a little bit.

The back cut is gorgeous. The cut isn't awkward when you slouch or sit up straight, and it gives enough coverage where the skirt meets the top. The front part is also a good fit—with or without a bra, the front is smooth and padded enough that it won't expose me too much when it's cold! I'd prefer to wear it without a bra because I don't usually wear bras, but also because the back is better without one; if someone wants to wear this but is uncomfortable to go bra-less, using the adhesive bras is great for this look.

The only complaint I have is the zipper on the left side. It's discreet, which is good, but it's hard to zip up past the skirt part all the way up to the top. I definitely can't zip it up myself, which is a bummer, but it's a minor thing. I like how there's also a hook at the top where the zipper ends to ensure that the zipper won't be zipping off unknowingly. The same goes for the zipper on the skirt!

Apologies for the wrinkles on the skirt—I don't have an iron yet. But aside from that, this skirt is super, duper cute! I've always wanted a scalloped blue shirt dress, so I settled for the baby blue scalloped skirt. It screams Spring/Summer to me. You can wear it with either a dark or a light top, as well as with outerwear like a cardigan or a light jacket. You can go from business to fun in this skirt, which is the great thing about it. This look is my business casual. If I were to put together a fun look with it, I would choose an oversized crop top in either gray or white, maybe with a graphic print or pattern.

One thing I didn't like about this skirt is that it is a little loose around the waist area. The smallest size they have is Small, so I just went with it. It's not loose enough that there's extra space when I breathe out, but there can be a constant lifting of the skirt up throughout the day. I'd have to keep it at my top waist area or else it'll go past my knees and I go from chic to grandma status in an instant. If it came in a size XS, I think it would be ideal for me. Also, this look I had to wear a bra (*sigh*), but honestly, I think I could pull it off without one!

If you're interested in shopping online at Tobi, you can use my referral link! You'll get 50% off your first order, and if I refer 5 friends, I get 50% off my next purchase as well! All in all, I would definitely buy from here again. They have the cutest styles and so far it fits decently on lil ol' me!

Let me know your thoughts about these looks and if you decide to buy something! I'd love to see your purchases, too!
